🧊 Calling All Styrofoam Coolers! 🧊 Do you have a styrofoam cooler you no longer need? We’d love to give it a second life! We use styrofoam coolers to ship cyanobacteria samples for toxin analysis, helping us monitor the coastal ponds! ♻️Give your styrofoam cooler a second life: 📍 Drop them off at 21 Mechanic Street, Vineyard Haven OR 📧 Contact us at mvcyano@greatpondfoundation.org if you would like us to pick it up! Thanks for your help! 💙🌊

Join us in collaboration with @friendsofsengekontacket & @islandspiritkayak for a hands-on seine net adventure and discover the amazing creatures living right in our backyard! We’ll pull the net, explore what we catch, and get up close with fish, crabs, and more‼️ Be sure to check out other summer events and seine net events 🔗 in bio 📅 Saturday, July 11 ⏰ 10 - 11:30 AM 📍 Sengekontacket Pond, Little Bridge, Oak Bluffs Perfect for curious kids, families, and anyone who loves the water. This week we sampled 📍Edgartown Great Pond,📍Chilmark Pond, and 📍Watcha Pond for our first nutrient run of the 2026 field season! Samples are headed to @mblwoodshole for processing to measure NITROGEN & PHOSPHORUS levels in the ponds🌊 Here’s a pic of Kendall using the van dorn sampler to collect nutrient samples at mid-depth! #greatpondfoundation #edgartowngreatpond #chilmarkpond #nutrients #watchapond
