That’s a Wrap! 2025 Field Season by the Numbers!
The 2025 field season is officially over, and it was a busy one! Our science team completed their final sampling run during the last week of October, wrapping up the field season on Edgartown Great Pond. The final run was a peaceful, sunny autumn morning.
The 2025 sampling season kicked off on May 14th and wrapped up on October 27th, spanning more than five months of weekly fieldwork. Over that time, the science team collected 1,023 water quality samples, 131 nutrient samples, and 73 toxin samples. Our team visited a total of 14 ponds, see graphic below.
Now that fieldwork has wrapped up, the focus shifts to offseason data analysis. The data gathered this season will be analyzed over the coming months…
