So Long, Farewell🎶

After four years with Great Pond Foundation, David Bouck, who for the past two years has served as Director of Science & Collaboration, has decided to step down from his position with the Foundation.

David joined our team in 2021 and brought a watershed perspective to our work and enhanced our ability to think about the impacts of land use on pond health. During his time at GPF David demonstrated excellence in fostering collaborative relationships, supported community cooperation through sharing of data and methods, and enhanced the Foundation’s capacity to analyze and present data spatially. David led the Foundation’s scientific team with humor, humility, intelligence, and grace. Those of us who have worked with David count ourselves as lucky. David’s last day with GPF will be February 28th.

The Board, Council, and staff of GPF, express our gratitude for David’s work on behalf of the pond community during his tenure with the Foundation.  Please join us in wishing David the best with his future endeavors. David, we are excited to see what you do next!

Owen Porterfield, entering his 4th field season with the Foundation now leads our field and laboratory programs.  Our science programs are in good hands with Owen serving as our Science Program Manager, and Carly Inghram, entering her 2nd season with the Foundation, serving as Science Communications Coordinator.
