After over two decades of service, Brendan O’Neill, Executive Director of the Vineyard Conservation Society, has stepped down from the Great Pond Foundation’s Board of Directors.  Brendan’s vast knowledge of Island ecosystems, both environmental and political, has informed and guided the work of our Foundation.  We are all deeply indebted to Brendan for the generosity of his time and spirit and we miss him already. 

Although Brendan cannot be easily replaced, we are delighted to report that Jeremy Houser, VCS’ Communications maestro and Ecologist, joined the Great Pond Foundation Board of Directors in January—assuming Brendan’s vacated seat and maintaining the longstanding connection between our two organizations.  Jeremy brings his scientific expertise, communications capabilities, and wonderful sense of humor to complement our dynamic Board of Directors.
